python -m http.server 8000 inside web_app,
then open http://localhost:8000.Which relief does each sector hold?
Share of each sector’s active waivers in which each Part 107 section is waived. The six built-environment sectors are grouped at the top. Click any cell to open the records behind it.
Permission bundles
Organizations request combinations of sections, not sections one at a time. The bars show the most common exact bundles; navy is the built-environment share. Click a bar for its records.
State map
Choose a measure. Rates are hidden for states holding fewer than 25 active waivers, where a ratio would be noise. Click a state to open its records.
Where built-environment holders are based
One point per geocoded waiver, at the ZIP centroid of the address on the certificate. This maps where holders are based, not where aircraft fly. Click a point for the certificate.
Issuance and conditioning over time
Bars: waivers issued per quarter. Lines: median special provisions attached, split by whether §107.31 (BVLOS) was waived. The register is a stock of active waivers, so early quarters show only the survivors. Hover for values; click a quarter for its records.
What the register implies
Each statement below is computed from the record-level data on this page. Use Verify to open the exact records behind it.
Permission planner
Considering a waiver application? Select the sections you would request. The planner reports how often that exact combination has been granted, the conditions it typically carries, and who holds it, all from the register itself.
State briefing
Pick a state for a one-screen briefing: holdings, operator supply, construction exposure, and how the state compares nationally.
About the data
This app accompanies a study of the complete population of active FAA Part 107 waivers, examined from a construction management perspective. Nothing on this page is precomputed: the browser loads the files below and derives every figure at view time, so any number can be traced to identifiable records and, from there, to the official certificate on faa.gov.
| File | Contents | Origin |

Sector labels were assigned from organization names with a published codebook and validated against a hand-coded sample (agreement 97.3%, Cohen’s κ = 0.967). The register is a stock of currently active permissions: expired and cancelled waivers are absent, and denied applications are not published in any form. Addresses are the holder’s address of record, not the area of operation.
